' . . ——-- (From Our Special Correspondents.) , SWANNANOA. The quarterly meeting of the Ohoka Methodist Circuit was held in the Swafinanoa Church last evening, sixteen mem- ] bers being present. The Rev. J. F. Martin presided and welcomed Mr W. Mar- ; shall from the Woodend Church. The membership roll showed 92 senior '. and seven junior members. - The balance-sheet revealed a credit : of £3 12/6, The reports from the var- ; ious branches were satisfactory. The collections of Sunday, October 4, £lO 9/3, were voted to the British and Belgium Belief Fund, and arrangements made for Home Mission collections on Sunday, November 1. The Horrelville Church trustees reported the painting and renovating of their church property and the Parsonage Trust reported sundry improvements. Messrs Downs and Burgin were elected representatives to the District Synod, and Messrs Pearce and Lindsay substitutes. Mr T. Lindsay was received as a fully credited local preacher. The minister received a unanimous invitation to remain a third year on the .circuit. The recommendation of the Conference Committee re the conference representatives' expenses fund Was approved. Mr Arthur Hurley was appointed society steward at Horrelville. The next meeting was fixed for Horrelville, on the first Thursday in January, 1915. <■ ' " " "
