Captain Macintosh, .commanding Sir Ernest Shackletbn 's Aurora, has arrived to make, preliminary arrangements for the expedition. . The Aurora leaves Hobart at the end of November, and arrives at McMurdo Sound in January, 1915, when the depot-laying to Fort Smith will be commenced. In October., 1915, the party will proceed to BeardmorevGlacier to lay the final depot, where they expect to meet the main expedition, returning to Hobart in March of 1916. In invitation is being issued to scientists of the Australian and New Zealand Universities. *
