THE SECOND TEST.
LADIES' HOCKEY MATCH. After the splendid game' which was provided by the meeting of the English ladies' hockey team and the Canterbury girls, at Lancaster Park, three weeks ago, no doubt is felt as to the second test match, between the English ladies and the New Zealand team, to be i played at Lancaster Park to-morrow, being productive of high-class and very interesting hockey. On Wednesday, in Wellington, the two teams engaged in a thrilling contest, and to-morrow's match should be no less absorbing. s The English team will be as.follows: — Goalkeeper, Miss S. Wetherall; backs, Misses C. Smith, and K. Tuke; halves, Misses M. Robinson, C. ■G. Gatey, and G. O'B. Hodge; forwards, Misses ; B. Tuke, M. Morgan, C. J. Gaskell, M. Leacroft, and V. Elwell. As a "curtain-raiser, "a men's match, I starting at 1.45 p.m. sharp, will be played between the Addington Club, winner of the Canterbury Senior Club Cham-' pionship, and an eleven selected from the other clubs. The teams will be as follow: Addington—Goal, C. Bellamy; backs, J. Morton and C. Rix; halves, Wj-E. Rogers, A. Arnold, aud F. Sepie; "forwards, H. Wilson, D. Smith, W. Chappell, W. Grammar, and R. H. Rankin. Combined Clubs —Goal, C. Brown; backs, P. Martin and- W. Hay; halves, J. Paseoe, R. Snell, and A. L. Borrows; forwards, S. Hawkins, Hulbert, Cummins, Throp, and Holland.
