%_' The Patriotic Carnival at Papanui ? to-morrow promises to be a great suc- \. cess. A programme of a most attractive and novel character has been arranged, and all that is wanting is a ?h fine day and a large attendance. The W procession leaves the old tram terminus, ft, the present junction, at 1 p.m., and specars from the city will be running J; during the afternoon. ;; One of the attractions is a football match, to be played between the Syden- |: ham and Merivale Clubs.
