A resolution was adopted, appealing to Irishmen at home and abroad for funds to equip and train volunteers to carry out the defence of Ireland, and for the advancement of Irish rights and the maintenance of self-government. . Mr. Redmond lias received from America £6OOO to arm and equip the National Volunteers.
