GENERAL BADEN-POWELL'S FEARS. "A LONG WAY TO TIPPER ARY." '■" Time's" and "Sydney Sun" Services. (Received October 2, 8 a.m.) LONDON, October 1. General Baden-Powell, in a speech at the Lord Mayoral function, said the opposing armies Mere fighting with courage, common sense, and cunning, but the British "Tommies" had a fourth qualification—cheerfulness. The Germans would find it "a long way to Tipperary," but probably they would make a desperate effort to invade Britain. "Wo must be ready,'" he added.
