SORTIES BY ANTWERP GARRISON.. THREE DAYS' DESPERATE ' FIGHTING. ANTWERP, September 30. •TJie : garrison continues it guerilla tatties. Nightly sorties have terrorised the German outposts, and a train was blown up and outposts have been picked off. Despite the activity of the garrison, the number of civilians killed and wounded is still in excess of the casualties among the Belgian soldiers. ' There was desperate fighting at Termonde and Aerschot from Sunday until ■Tuesday. On"'Sunday the Germans were heavily reinforced, until the combatants numbered nearly 150,000. Despite the superior German artillery, a ilelgian battery at Audegem, after losing seventeen' gunners,~" v ~silenced a German battery. w The bombardment of Forts Wallhein and Wavre continues. The Germans attacked Forts Liezele and, Breendonck,: but several sorties 5 drove the Germans back, with heavy-losses. . , ■-■. LONDON, September. 30. The Germans regained. Alost by a ruse.
