For the final gallops the weather was showery, but it did not affect the track. Amata did the fastest gallop of the morning, covering seven furlongs in lmin 29sec, Portrush and Gillallambi taking lmin 29£ sec, Cagou lmin and Carlittt and Mountain Knight lmin 31j|sec for the same distance. Lochano ran a mile in lmin 44sec, and Willow Green, going easy, tocic lmin 47Jsec. Maxbery and Camulus, together, did the same distance in lmin 44Jsec, and Ringform and Redbook, together, took lmin 43Jsee. Merrimax and Silver King took lmin 4fj£sec, Alured lmin 46sec, and Moonbria lmin 47sec. i Owen Roe beat Cherubini easily over a mile in lmin 421 sec, and Radnor easily had the call over Bon Ton over a mile in lmin 452 sec. Lilyveil ran a mile and a-quarter in 2min 12isec. Ventura did easy work, and Bimeter spurted over eight furlongs.
