CHORAL FESTIVAL.
AFTERNOON SERVICE. The afternoon service in connection %-ith-the Christchurch Dioeesan Choral Association was held this afternoon. The attendance of youthful choristers was large, but, as was anticipated, the adults ■were few in number. There was a procession on the north side of- the Cathedral, in which the choirs and clergy took part. The procession entered the Cathedral from the west door, singing the processional hymn, "Bound the Sacred City Gather." The conductor of the choral part of Jjie service was Dr. J. C. Bradshaw, and 'the organist was Mr A. Worsley. The secretarial "duties*-were' discharged by Mr J. Holmes Runnicles, who for some years past has given his enthusiastic service in the cause of the festival. The folowing choirs will take part in the festival to-night:—Christchurch > Cathedral, St". Luke's, St John's, Avonside, Belfast, Fendalton, Merivale, New Brighton, Opawa, Papanui, Riccarton, i St. Albans, St. Martin's (Spreydon), and Templeton. The preacher will be the Rev. Canon Hamilton, vicar of Feudalton. The anthem is "God Came from Teman" (Steggall), ? LATE SHIPPING.
