DOMAIN BOARD.
ORDINARY MEETING. The Christchureh Domain Boar.d met last evening, Mr H. .7. Beswiek presiding. There were also present: Dr E. G. Levinge, Messrs F. A. Anderson, James Jamieson, and C. D. Morris. The Waimairi County Council notified that it had appointed Mr Wilfred Jno. Walter, of Marshlands, to represent it on the board. The chairman said the meeting had been called for the purpose of considering what should be done in regard to the river bank. It was proposed that a portion of the bank should be excavated down to the water's edge, and rock work set up so as to support the present work. It had been decided to leave the matter till Mr Young came back. He had now come back with the idea that they could do no better than continue the slope and grassing down, as had been done by the bridge leading to the Acclimatisation Society's grounds. If anything was to be done it must be done as quickly as possible. After, some discussion it was decided to adjourn the meeting till 5 o'clock to-night, when the members will view the site.
