THE SHARE MARKET. SEPTEMBER 12, 1914. Although investment stocks continue inactive, a marked improvement has been noticeable in the chief Auckland milling stocks, and a fair volume of business has been reported. The following represent the current week's prices for the undermentioned stocks:-

MINING. Woihi.-r-The market has hardened con- y siderably during the week; The ex dividend price 29/- held good until Wednesday. ;On Thursday buyers offered 30/6 with sellers at 31/6. On Friday buyers increased their prices 2/-, and business was reported at 33/-, but later declined to 32/9 and 32/3. t Talisman.-rA dividend of 1/3 per share was paid this week. At the commencement of the week sales were made at 25/- ex dividend. On Thursday and Friday buying prices advanced by 1/6, and business was done at 26/3 and 26/6. Grand Junction.—Prices have advanced from 1/3 to 1/9 this week. Sales in -the early part of the week were effected at 20/-. On. Friday business was reported at 21/9' and 21/6.
