RICHMOND HILL CLUB. THE CHAMPIONSHIPS. The final in the senior championship was played to-day, over 36 holes. J. D. Lawrence beat L. W.*Harley 10 up and 8 to play. In the junior championship, also over 36 holes, J. L. Partridge won the final, defeating the Rev. Mackenzie Gibson, 5 up and 4 to /play. . The ladies played a Medal Match for the monthly medal, and also for a priae presented by Mrs J. E. Stevens, on Thursday,"September 10. In the Senior Division Mrs Hamilton was the winner—gross 106, handicap 33, net 83. In the Junior Division Miss "Van Asch was the winner—gross 117, handicap 41, net 7. Miss Van Asch won Mrs Stevens's prize.
SHIRLEY CLUB
At the Shirley links this afternoon a Bogey Match was played, the results being as follow :
W. Wyinks, all square, J. S. Browning 1 up, C. G. Ogilvie 1 down, C, Wood 1 down, G. K Williams 1 down, W. A. Humphries' 1 down, H. R. Brittan 1 down, C. P. Murray-Aynsley 2 down, R. Hobbs 2 down, L. V. Comerford 2 down, G. Swan 3. down, W. M. Gibbs 3 down, C. Ward 3 down, S. Ramsay 3 down, G. E. Rhodes 3 down, G. D. Mill ton 4, down, C. H. Hewlett 4 down, F. H. Cumberworth "> down. W. Wyinks wins the senior division and J. S. Browning the junior. HOLED IN ONE. Another 1 was scored at New Brighton the other day, the distinction falling to Hood, the professional—the first 1 in all his golfing career. It was at the eight hole, over 170 yds, and was played with an iron. The ball pitched short of the green and ran nicely into the hole.
