This ~ week's Sydney boat, the Warrinioo, tailed from, Sydney at 3.30 p.m. on Friday lor Wellington direct. She is due at Wellington to-morrow with' 44 saloon and 50 steerage passengers and 201 tons of cargo lifted at Sydney. The latter includes a quantity of fruit and 201 tons of general cargo to be transhipped to Dunedin and Bluff. There is also on board a quantity of cargo from Melbourne. The Warrimoo leaves Wellington on Wednesday for Lyttelton, returning to Wellington on Friday and sailing game day for Sydney and Melbourne. She is due at Sydney on September 15, and at Melbourne four days later. The next boat is the Manuka, leaving Melbourne on September 8 and Sydney on September 11. T>B Union Company's Gorinna, which left Lyttelton late on Saturday afternoon, proceeded direct to Nels»n, being fixed to leave there to-day for New Plymouth and One'hunga. She is due, at Wellington on Friday, Bailing the same day- for Dunedin. Advice received by the' Marine Department at Wellington stated that the Government steamer Hinemoa was at Russell on Friday, and expected to work Whangaroa on Saturday and Awanui to-day. She is due back at Wellington about September 16. While at Napier on Wednesday the Blackball Coal Company's collier Ngahere ran on a sandbank, where she remained throughout the j afternoon. She was successfully refloated at 6.30 p.m., being in no way damaged by the grounding. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Ruahine, from London to New Zealand ports, is not overdue a.t the Cape, as has been reported. As a matter of fact, she was not to call at the Cape of Good Hope on this passage. There is no reason why she should not make her appearance in New Zealand well up to time. —Wellington "Post.'' Yesterday morning the New Zealand Shipping Company's chartered steamer Karamea arrived at Lyttelton, and after putting out aboxit 800 tons of cargo at this port will proceed to Dunedin. Captain Clifton-Mogg j is still in command of the Karamea, and has the following officers associated with him: —I Chief, Mr A. C. Read; second, Mr A. Mcintosh ; third, Mr E. H. Clements; fourth, Mr C. H. Bullock. Mr S. A. Waddington is chief engineer, Mr C. Marmion second, Mr A. T. Gibson third, Mr B. E. Tibbs fourth, and Mr J.' S. Ross fifth. Mr F. Bchall is chief refrigerating engineer, and Mr J. Crawford is his assistant. Mr W. G. Edwards is wireless operator.

The scow Three Cheers is at present being prepared at Auckland for a voyage to Melbourne, where she is to enter the cargo trade between the Victorian.'port and Tasmania, having been '..sold by Messrs J. J. Craig, Ltd.,

of Auckland, to a Melbourne company. Until recently tke vessel had been employed in the Whangarei-Auckland coal and timber trade. She is a wooden vessel of 97 tons gross, and was built at Tomakin, N.S.W., in 1904. Captain Robinson, late of the Holmdale, will pilot the Three Cheers across to Melbourne, it being expected to commence the voyage in the course of. a few days. The Riverina is expected to arrive in Lyttelton from Dunedin on Wednesday morning, when she will discharge her Wellington cargo and take in a large outward loading. The Wakatu, from the north, is due in Lyttelton on Tuesday night, and sails for Kaikoura and the north on Wednesday. The Nairnshire, which is loading for Boston and New York at Dunedin, will proceed to Bluff and Timaru to complete her loading and sail for Wellington later.
