CANTERBURY HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Executive of the Canterbury Association was held last evening, there being present Messrs AV. E. Rogers (in the chair), A. S. Drayton, VV. H. Down, W. Leighton, S. G. Holland, W. Chappell, C. Bellamy, and P. Agar (secretary). A deputation from the Ladies' Association asked for the support of the association in the match against the English team, and it was decided to assist them as much as possible in ensuring a big attendance at I lie match, to be played at Lancaster Park on September 12. In regard to the southern tour, the followi?ig arrangements were made: —The team to leave Christchurc-h on September i 5 by the first express, play Oamaru on September 3, Otiigo at Dunedin on September 5, and Southland at - Jnvercargill on September !). It was decided that the U.R.C. v. Oxford Terrace game should not be played on Saturday next. It was decided to award the Second Grade competition to Sydenham A, the Third tirade competition to Selwyn, the Fourth Grade competition to Selwyn, and the Fifth tirade cornpetition to Technical College.
