The following forecast was issued by the Government Meteorologist, Wellington, at 9 a.m. to-day for the ensuing 24 hours:— The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, but westerly moderate to strong prevailing and freshening. There is a prospect of fair weather, but an unfavourable change following on or about Sunday next for storm appears to be approaching from the west. Barometer falling after about 24 to 36 hours.
