THE SUN'S WAR SOUVENIR

CATCHES ON WITH THE PUBLIC THE SUN'S Special War Souvenir and Roll of the Expeditionary Force was issued this morning, and immediately "caught on" with the public. It consists of eight pages of pictures and letterpress. On the front page there is an attractive drawing of an officer of a mounted squadron, galloping with drawn sword and shouting a Maori war cry. It is a spirited conception, and the block from which it is printed is one of the largest etchings in line which has ever been executed for a New Zealand newspaper. The Roll of the Expeditionary Foreo ■' occupies the two central pages of the souvenir, and will be valuable as a - record of those going to the war. Other pages are devoted to the Addingtoii ■ encampment, and naval and military matters generally. The souvenir is obtainable for one penny from all SUN runners and agents, or from the publisher, SUN office.
