(Received August 24, 1.20 p.m.) LONDON, August 23. Japan's ultimatum is in many respects phrased similarly to that from Germany to Japan in 11)05 in regard to Port Arthur. AMSTERDAM, August 23. A Berlin official telegram to the Government says that Germany verbally informed the Japanese Minister that she had no reply to the ultimatum, and was obliged to recall her Ambassador from Tokio.
