H. Gilby, P.O. Box 652, Christchurch, as it is intended to have a meeting of the Finance Committee to deal with the matter on Monday morning. WAIMAIRI COMMITTEE FORMED. Yesterday afternoon a meeting was held in the Waimairi Council Chambers for the purpose of forming a branch committee in connection with the Liverpool Fund. There were about fifteen ladies present, and Mrs C. J. Treleaven presided, as the representative of the Mayoress, Mrs Holland!
All who attended joined the committee, and Mrs Hopkins, 158, North Road,, was elected president, the office of secretary being accepted by Miss Jones, 140, IJorth Eoad. Arrangements were made for canvassing the district for donations to the fund, which will be donated as a special contribution from, the Waimairi residents.
