AIRMAN DROPS BOMBS.

DAMAGE TO CAVALRY. GERMAN HATRED OF COSSACKS. (Received August 22, 8.30 a.m.) PARIS, August 21. A French airman, at a place unnamed, encountered a division of German cavalry, and dropped several

bombs, which did great damage. Another airman was hit by rifle fire and compelled to descend in German territory. He hid in a wood until nightfall;, when he was found another aviator shot in the legs. He and his machine were safely brought to the French lines.

(Received August 22, 8.30 a.m.) ST. PETERSBURG, August 21.

The German hatred of the Cossacks has been proved by their refusal to bury the Cossacks killed in frontier engagements, saying, ''the ravens can- devour the Cossacks."
