SPARROW MATCH.

N.C. GUN CLUB. The North Canterbury Gun Glub "held a £SO sparrow shooting., match at. Rangiora, there being forty-two entries at £2 10/- each. Fifteen birds were allowed, and the prizes were £3O, £l2 10/-, £5, and £2 10/-. The winners were:— H. Truscott, North- Canterbury Gun Club and J. Tullet, Styx Gun Club, who each shot fourteen birds, and divided first and second money, giving £8 to the Patriotic Fund. Those left in the last rous'd, having shot fifteen birds, were: F. Lewton, L. Wornall, W. Heney, W. Truscott, 11. Genson, F. Priest, L. Stackhouse, W. Parsons, B. Ayers, H. Brow r n, H. D. van Asch, A. Kimber, and E. Stead. After firing ten rounds Edgar Stead, B. Ayers, W. Heney, and L. Wornall, who shot all the birds, decided to divide third and fourth prizes.
