OBITUARY.
*■ MR J. O'BRYEN HOAIB. The death occurred yesterday of Mr J. O'Bryen- Hoaie, a well-know* Christchurch resident. The deceased was born in 18.'55,.and was educated at Cambridge, "where he took M.A. degrees. He was ordained in England, and came out to New Zealand, in 1865, and was
ap|)bintedi incumbentVof St£ John's Anglican Church, Christchurch. In 1871 he returned to England', and received the incumbency of St. Jutles, Englefield Green, Surrey, and in 1878 was appointed vicar of Weston; Hampshire. In 1882. he again sailed for New Zealand, and after serving in the parish of St. Paul's, Papanui, for ten years, he left the Church of England to fonnd a free Church. In this work, and in lecturing work, he continued till quite recently. He was married in- -1804,. and leaves a grown-up family.
