MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING.
A match of unusual interest took place in the Rod and Gun Club's rooms between the Rod and Gun Club's M.R. Club, Asliburton Friendly Societies, A. J. White's, and the Crown Brewery. After the match about 60 members and friends sat dowit to supper, and songs were rendered by Messrs Withers, Davis, Chapman, Burmeister, Buchanan, McMaster, Dalley, Pratt, and Bowkett. The .scores were:— A. J. White's: Davis 70, Munn 70, Burmeister 70, Baker 69, Wigzell 69, Brown 68, Marshall 68, Carter 67, Lightfoot G7, Skipworth 6(3; —total, 684. Ashburton: Fountaine 70, Parsons 70, Sliarmau 70, Bowkett 69, Dalley 69, Shaw 68, Bickerstaff 07, Tutty 67, Clayton 65, Service 63; —total, 678. Rod and - Gun: Hunt 70, Hoadley 68, Dockery 67, Cotton 67, Pratt 66, Eiby 66, Piper 65, Harris 64, Catterniole 64, Boniface 63 ; —total, 600.
