THAT SPORTS CLUB.
To the Editor of THE SUN. Sir,—Though not a regular Subscriber to THE SUN—I-take it on Monday and Friday (sports special days) and Saturday. I 'would, like to express my satisfaction at your having dealt so boldly with that quaint body,"the Ghristchurch Sports Club. Also, I would like to lend my support to your criticisms, which, to my mind, are not a whit too severe. I saw the fight on* Thursday evening, atid it was just' the weirdest business I ever saw- in the rang. - There was no referee, so. far as I could see, but there was a gentleman who made mild noises like .'' Break, break,' 7 from one angle. The whole thing was a farce. May I ask what this Sports Club is doing with respect to some property it purchased a couple of years ago, on which- to build a boxing hall?! Has the money yet been paid over, and has the club any intention of going on with the erection of-a hall? Perhaps you could find out for me.—l am, etc., C.B.A. Fendalton, August 14.
