FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION.
WEEKLY MEETING. The weekly .meeting-of- the Canterbury Football Association was held last evening at the - Y.M.C.A., the follo wing nrembers being present: —-Messrs English (chairman), Burgess, Eastgate, Heilev, Bunt, Field, Ashworrh, and Gentle v (secretary). 3ti connection, with the Brown Shield match at Richmond .Park on August 22, it was decided to ask the ladies if they would take over , the complete management of ; the tea, jvliich fs to be .served- on the grounds, l£i nani'ial matters were discussed, and-it was proposed to curtail expenses by limiting the advertisements. The chairman moved that the correct title of Association football should be used in preference to the..abbreviated version of "soccer." The, meeting' carried this proposal unanimously. It was arranged that the charges lur the ball shall be: Single ticket 5/-, double ticket 7/6. Further arrangements were left to be decided by a sub-committee.
