KAIAPOI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The fortnightly meeting of the Kaiapoi Borough Council was held on Tuesday, when there were present:— Maydr (Mr J. W; Barnard),'and Org' H. Bevellj W. Robb, S. Rinaldi, F. J. Garn'ett, R. H. Croft, R. Dunn, G. Etherington, J. H. Williams, and W. E. Bate. The Waimairi and Eyre . County Councils wrote, supporting the council's endeavour to obtain regular weather reports from the Bealey, and the Minisiei; of Railways wrote, stating that the council's request that the stationmaster nearest the Bealey should be instructed to forward weather reports, would receive consideration.

The committee recommended that the council should pay half the cost of a new pipe. The report was adopted.
