CANTERBURY v. WELLINGTON.

SATURDAY'S LEAGUE FIXTURE. The executive of the Canterbury Rugby League met on Saturday evening, Mr A. E. Hooper presiding. There were also present: Messrs H. F. Garrard, F. Moore, H. Falgar, C. H. B. Poore, L. F. Simpson, D. Buchanan, F. J. Stevenson, W. Moyle, W. L. Clarke, T. B. Pike, H. Boyns, and R. J. Stirling. The Wellington Lfeague wrote accepting July 25 as the date <ff the Welling-ton-Canterbury representative match, to be played on the Show Grounds. It was decided that the Wellington-Canterbury representative! junior match (which is also to be. played on Saturday next) should commence at 2 p.m. The following is' the senior team to represent Canterbury against Wellington: — Full-back: C. Kruse. Three-quarters: S. Loader, W. Mitchell, and W. Smythe. Five-eighths: V. Boon, W. Bussell (captain). Half: B. Bussell. Forwards: W. King, A. Morris, E. L. Button, W. Lyes, J. Lagan, and E. Smith. Reserves: Backs, C. Hardingham, E. A. Gasson, R. Watts;' forwards, A. Reid, T. Kirton, T. King. Junior representatives:— Full-back: E. Clemens. Three-quarters: B. Hooper, L. Muir, and F. Ashworth: Five-eighths: J. Murray and J. Greatbatch. Half: H. Smith. Forwards: H. Worsfold, J. Leskie, T. M 'Gee, J. Kiddey, A. Stewart, W. Murray. Emergencies: Back, Gregory; forward, E. Whitfield. Members of .both teams are expected to attend training on Thursday next at the Farmers' Saleyards.* It was decided that the visiting teams be accorded a reception next Saturday evening. Subject to the confirmation of the Wellington centre, it was decided that Mr D. M'Gregor be the referee for the senior match and Mr Garrard for the junior match.
