By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright, (Received July 14, 11.40 a.m.) OTTAWA, July 13. Captain Anderson of the Storstad has expressed the opinion that Lord Mersey is a fool for holding him responsible for the collision with the Empress of Ireland, and says that any reputation Lord Mersey had, he is sure to lose through such a decision. Lord Mersey, he holds, really favoured the CanadianPacific Company throughout the enquiry. 1 Captain Anderson has also announced his intention of starting a suit against the Canadian-Pacific Company on behalf of the Storstad's owners. He will also begin a suit in the British Admiralty courts. Captain Anderson has promised that there will be much litigation before things are settled between him and the • Canadian-Pacific Company. As a result of the Commission's judgment, Captain Kendall will remain in the employ- of the Canadian-Pacific Company.
