. M. Messing, Minister: of War, exlaining the change to . .the invisible blue-grey uniform, stated' that the old clothing was as visible at 1500 yards as the new clothing at 500 yards. England first realised the danger of bright uniforms, and' substituted khaki, while in the Balkan War the Bulgarians and Servians came to the saihe conclusion, and gave their soldiers' uniforms which strengthened their morale and merited their fighting capacity.
