LURED TO DEATH.
SOLDIERS SHOT IN COLD BLOOD. SUSPECTED OF LOOTING. "Timee'' and "Sydney Sun" Serrieee. PEKING, July 4. Two hundred soldiers, suspected of complicity in the looting of Kalgan were promised two months' pay and a free passage to their homes. They were taken off the train at the first station after Kalgan and shot in eold blood by soldiers brought for the
purpose. The soldiers only fired after being threatened with death.
