Captain White, skipper of the launch, says that during some* larking Sir Denis Anson, who was on the bridge, announced his intention of diving. Captain White prevented, and later some ladies chaffed Anson,, whereupon he dived over and swam a few strokes. He then got into difficulties and sank.
