AN ALEXANDRA MEMORIAL.

The Memorial Oak planted to commemorate the marriage of Queen Alexandra and King Edward has passed 1 ' the way of air flesh' '—and" trees; In plain language, it is' dead. It has been suggested to the Mayor that the timber should be used as the material for a Mayoral chair, and that it should be handed' over to a cabinetmaker with that object in view. A new tree will be planted on the 9th inst., the anniversary of the marriage and the planting of the original Alexandra Oak.-
