ELLESMERE A. & P. ASSOCIATION.
COMMITTEE MEETING. The general committee of the Ellesmere Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held on Thursday. Mr W. B. Cunningham presided, and twenty-two members were present. Messrs Matson and "Co. wrote in reply to an application from the association for a special prize and for suggestions as to the weight -to be stipulated, in the fat lamb and fat pig: classes, in which their specials .were -ito-be given. The firm suggested? 551b live weight for the 'fat lamb, arid 1501b live weight for the ! fat pig. There was deal of discussion as to Me/-weights, and . the president was deputed to interview Messrs Matson and Co. on the subject. Messrs Pyne and Co. offered a special prize and left the matter of weights for the association to! fix. Vlt was decided; to hold the animal horse parade on September .25, the horse committees; to make arrangements as usual; S<j»me suggested alterations in the running times' of;'i'Mtfs :on Shdw ©ay were -appro ved. s lt ■ was "decided to, place' [the sum of £5 at the disposal of the 'Bilesmere /Ploughing -Match Comiriittee for use,i if found necessary.. -•. Upon , :the motion of : : «the president, a "rule was adopted providing that all exhibits must:be the bona fide property of ths exhibitor at time of entry. • Mr >G. .B. Sheat (Dunsandel) was elected a memjber of the association.
