The death is announced near Macroom, County Cork of Daniel Mullane, who is stated to have reached the age of 11.0 years. He was an agricultural labourer, and continued active up to a few months jago. The Mexican regular army is recrufted annually by ballot in the proportion of one recruit per 1000 inhabitants. Service is for two years in the active army, followed by three iu the reserve.
