RANGIORA TENNIS CLUB'S BALL.

The annual ball in connection with the Rangiora Tennis Club was held in the Oddfellows' Hall last evening. There were about 100 people present, and a very successful ball was recorded. Humphrey's Band supplied the dance music. Amongst the ladies present were: —Mrs Hunter, in an effective frock of black satin, trimmed with ivory lace; Mrs Hammond (Christchurch), black satin de soie; Mrs Shankland, white satin, jewelled net overdress; Mrs Heney, apricot satin; Miss Cunningham, silver grey ninon over silk of the same shade; Miss E. Cunningham, apricot satin; Miss Boyd, white satin and gold embroidery; Miss Hickman (Balcairn), pink charmeuse, with embroideries of seed pearls; Miss Barton, white satin, trimmings of Cluny lace; Miss Scott, white crepe de chine, with tunic of spangled ninon; Miss D. Scott, was in green satin, with tunic of handsome lace; Miss Nottingham (Cliristchurch), white satin; Miss E. Cunningham was also in white satin; Miss F. Jennings, pink charmeuse and silver; Miss N. Horrell, pink silk frock; Miss C. Horrell was in blue silk; Miss R. Horrell, white crepe de chine; Miss Ambrose, pink silk; Miss Walker, geranium-red crepe de chine; Miss F. Tutton, white satin; Miss Patrick, ivory crepe de chine; Miss Mehrtens, white satin, relieved with pink; Miss Reynolds, green crepe de chine; 'Miss H. Tutton, white satin; Miss Henderson, blue satin; Miss Shand, pink satin; Miss Chapman, white mousseline de soie, with gold net overdress; Miss Woodman, pink satin; Miss Hughey, white silk; Miss Marshall, white silk frock; Miss D. Marshall, creme silk; Misses Golding (2), white satin; Miss Hammond, yellow satin; Miss B. Lucas, blue crepe de chine; Mrs W. Bowley, white silk.
