HAGLEY CLUB. A tie in the first round of the Meares Cup Competition betwen G. Aitken (8) and A. Sandstein (13) resulted in the re-play being won by Sandstein, 2 up, and the winner meets K. M. Ollivier (11) in the second round on Saturday. In the second round of the Meares Cup Competition, to be played on Saturday, Montgomery plays Boulton, Morton plays Louisson, and Aitken plays Brown. A Bogey Competition will also be played. The qualifying rounds for the championship will be played in July. CHRISTCHURCH CLUB. The following players will represent- the Christehurch Golf Club in a match against Kaiapoi on Saturday:—P. C. Freeth, J. D. Nelson, H. H. Knight, C, H. Seymour, J. E. Donald, J. D. Marks, W. P. Bryden, C. R. Beadel, A. T. G. Symons, R. J. Hobbs, E. M. Caffin, and H. L. Bowker. RANGIORA CLUB. The Committee of the Rangiora Golf Club has decided to play two qualifying rounds for the Macfarlane Cup during next month, and to hold a club competition on July 18. Mr S. S. Clark was elected treasurer in place of Mr W. D. Johnston, who had resigned. Arrangements were made for a match with the Christehurch Club on July 2. RANGIORA v. KAIAPOI.
