ADDINGTON MARKET.
There was a fairly big sale at the metropolitan yards to-day. Store sheep ranged about the same as last week, fat lambs were a much smaller entry, but a big lot of fat sheep were yarded. Beef was in a much better demand at improved prices.
FAT LAMBS
The yarding of this class was much smaller tlion has been the rule of late, evidently the supply is tapering off as the freezing works intend closing down in the course of a fortnight or three weeks. The quality was very indifferent, much of the yarding*being very light. Over all prices were as follows: — Prime, 6Ad.

FAT SHEEP. A little over eight races were re quired to hold the fat sheep which came forward. A great many were of only medium quality, but some extra prime sheep were included. There was a fair-sized yarding of store sheep to-day, mostly hoggets, with a ■•few lilies of ewes. For. the f oimer there was a keen demand for the better class, but poor lots were not. eagerly sought after. For any fairly good lines of iridamb ewes there was a rather better enquiry. Well-grown ewe lambs maintained recent values.

The entry totalled 320 head, as compared with 293 last week, 256 on June 10, 214 on June 2, and 410 on May 27. The demand was much keener than for some weeks past, and the price per 100 lb advanced quite 2/6. There were occasional pens that sold up to 35/- per 1001b. The range of values was as follows: —
