A distinguished gathering of cricketers met at a banquet at the Hotel Cecil to celebrate the Lord's centenary. The Right Hon. Walter H. Long proposed the toast of " Imperial Cricket," remarking that the game strengthened the bonds of Empire. A congratulatory message was. received from Australia.
