Mr Asquith, replying to the deputation of East End suffragettes, agreed that if women were enfranchised, it should be on the same terms as men. It was necessary, however, to suppress organised violence.

NOVEL INSURANCE SCHEME.

Six policies have been issued at Lloyd's, to men, in order to safeguard them against any legal action which may be taken against them, as persons responsible for the actions of suffragette wives.
A West End doctor took out a policy of £SOOO to protect himself against the actions of his daughters. His premium will be £2O annually.

The Coedpoeth (Wales) railway station has been burned. The fire is attributed, to suffragettes.
