The Criminal Law Amendment Committee meeting at Caxton Ilall urged the appointment of women police for the supervision of parks, open spaces, and railway stations; also to answer eixiuiriejs in the'streets, to investigate cases of assault, to visit places of amusement and refreshments, and to inspect 'women's lodging ho.uses.
It was stated that forty towns in Germany have womfcn' police," and that (he number is steadily growing.
