SUDDEN DEATH.

MR W. H. MUNRO. Mr William Harold Muiiro, a member of the advertising staff of Messrs Gordon and Gotch, dropped dead this morning in the Christchurch office of that firm. Mr Munro called at the office shortly after 9 o'clock this morning, and > was chatting to Mr Wilson, the local manager, when he suddenly collapsed. Medical assistance was at once summoned, and Dr Orchard was in attendance in a few minutes. The unfortunate man, however, was beyond human aid. Death was probably caused by some heart affection. The late Mr Munro was well-known throughout New Zealand, and was universally esteemed for his amiable personal qualities. During the past four years he had been South Island manager and. travelling representative of Messrs Gordon and, Gotch. his,.home in this city, and resided with, Ms. wife and family, at 452, Lincoln Roa&i'

After the dissolution of that partnership Mr Munro took a position with the printing firm of J. Mr Munro was a well-known brother of the Masonic craft. He was a member of the Lodge of Otago, No. 7, Dunedin, but he was .known as an enthusiastic Mason throughout the Dominion.; At the time of his death he was engaged on a review of the proceedings: of-the foreign Masonic Grand Lodges, which work had been interrupted by-the death of the former reviewer, Mr A..:W, Burton, of Dunedin.
