ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
FELL DOWN HOLD. ] Press Association: • AUCKLAND, June 19. ' A sailor named A. Norgrove fell down the hold of the collier. Kauri at the Queen's Wharf this afternoon and was killed. The surgeon of H.M.S. Psyche went to the man's assistance, but.death had been instantaneous. Deceased was single, about twentyfour, years of age, and belonged .to Blenheim. , ~ RAILWAY FATALITY. HAMILTON, June 19; Another fatal accident occurred' on the Thames express for Auckland today. A young lady, Miss Bishop, whose parents are supposed to reside in "Auckland, fell between two carriages shortly after leaving Pukekohe, and was killed. The train officials and passengers were unaware of the accident, and the train continued its journey. The body was afterwards recovered and taken to Pukekohe. A young lady companion also was unaware until reaching Frankton of the accident to her friend. FOUND DEAD IN BED. . Arthur George Kerrison, a single man, employed as a labourer, was found dead in bed this morning. ; Deceased retired to bed about 11 o'clock last night, being then apparently in good health. He was called about 6.45 this morning. No reply being received, his landlady called a milkman, who opened the door and found the deceased lying in bed, dead. Dr. Sandstein pronounced death to be due to heart failure, following vomiting.
