BREAKING UP ESTATES.
A TIMARU PURCHASE. _____ *■ Press Association. TIMARU, June 19. Mr Ritchie, chairman of the Land Furchase Board, was here to-day inspecting farms offered to the Government. The Government has concluded the purchase of 3600 acres of Mr T. Teschemaker's Otaio Estate, excluding the homestead. Nearly the whole is suitable for grain growing.
Mr Ritchie made an offer for 200 acres at Washdyke for workers,' homes, but the offer was not accepted.
