JJ.Z. UNION MEETING.

Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 18. The New Zealand Rugby Union Man* agement Committee appointed Coekroffc captain of the South Island team for Saturday. Various letters were received regarding alleged breaches of the amateur rule. The Poverty Bay*.-, Union asked if a man who had played the League game, but had not been officially suspended, could be prevented from playing Bugby. It was decided to reply that it was the duty of the local union to suspend the player and; report to the New Zealand Union when the breach of rule occurred. The Wellington Union asked for a match against the New Zealand team before the latter's departure for Australia. The match will be arranged if possible.
