Lord Crewe questioned in the House of Lords admitted that Captain Bellingham, aide de camp to the Earl of Aberdeen (Viceroy of Ireland) had inspected the Nationalist volunteers and had told them that it was their duty to ensure the triumph of Home Rule. ; Captain Belli ngham had since ex: plained that he spoke under the influence of local surroundings and had, expressed his regret. At that the incident had closed.
SUBMISSION DEPLORED.
MR REDMOND AND GAELIC
LEAGUE.
The Gaelic League, Dublin, deplores the volunteers' submission to Mr Redmond, and points out that lie is not likely 'to start a national fund for arming the volunteers.
