HAWARDEN SALE.
At Hawarden sale yesterday there was a total entry of 2500 sheep and lambs, of which 1530 were fats, 950 being lambs, wethers and ewes making up the balance in about equal proportion. In the store pens there were 204 lambs, 516 crossbred ewes in lamb, and 250 wethers. Despite wet weather, there was a good attendance, and competition for fats was good, the bulk of them teing sold at auction. Fat lambs made from 16/1 to 20/-, extra to 24/7; wethers 17/3 to 21/4, one extra good 23/-; fat crossbred ewes 13/8 to 18/1; ewe lambs 18/9; mixed sexes 13/1; four, six, and eighttooth halfbred ewes in lamb 23/6; four, six, and eight-tooth, crossbred ewes in lamb 20/6; four and six-tooth crossbred wethers 18/- to 18/4. The principal sales were as follow: Store Sheep. —100 four, six, and eighttooth halfbred ewes in lamb 23/6, 124 ewe lambs 18/9, 80 mixed sex lambs 13/1, 149 four and six-tooth crossbred wethers 18/2 to 18/4, 103 do 18/-. Fat Sheep.—l 29 fat crossbred wethers 20/6, 119 do 19/-. Fat Lambs.—4l 24/7, 106 20/-, 143 19/-, 41 19/-, 74 18/9, 59 18/8, 33 17/4, 177 16/1.
