AMBERLEY STEEPLECHASE CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Amberley Stepelechase Club was held in the Crown Hotel on Monday afternoon. There was a good attendance of members, Mr G. B. Starkey being chairman. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £538. The chairman, in his address, referred to the improvement now being carried out on the racecourse, which, when finished, would bring the appointments up to date. The officrs for the ensuing year were elected as follow: —Patron, Mr G. W. Forbes, M.P.,; president, Mr E. L. Stead; vice-presidents, Messrs Greenwood, Courage, Acton Adams, Large, and M'Liean; stewards, Messrs Coleman, Rolleston, Rhodes, Boddington, Nicholls, Lenton, Belcher, D. L. Rutherford, C. O. T. Rutherford, J. E. M'Donald, J. Chapman, and R. Turnbull; judge, Mr T. H. Lance; handicapper, J. Cliadwick; master of scales, W. A. Rhodes; clerk of course, F. Lewton; treasurer, F. A. Boddington; secretary, R. J. Parfan. Three new members were elected. It was decided to hold the annual steeplechase meeting on August 29.
