Ba.m.) V LONDON, June 14. : The village/ blacksmith' at HunstaU has been prosecuted owing to.the -unjnelodious sound of his. voice. ; = Evidence was given that he sang out, of tune< in .chureh, and sang' very loudly; also that he continued singing after the congregation had ceased. ;The minister stated that the defendant's singing so disturbed the congregation that many of them had left, while others had stopped their ears. ! 'The defendant declared that he was singing Hhe tenor part ~in the Psalnuj When he was asked to. stop' making a noise. ; ' , ■ • The Bench fined the folacksiriith £l/ and added that the congregation ought to £ay the fine. 1 ;
