At' the inquest on Jsunes Davidson, the -coach driver, the ison of the Weetali-:: bah hotelkeeper gave evidence, that after a quarrel Davidson said he had been stabbed, but there was ' only a slight mark on his body. - " Later, he , fell to the floor a couple of times and c was removed to bed. An. hour later he was found dead. Davidson was drunk. ■ The Chinese was bommitted for trial on a charge of 'murder. [James Davidson was the driver of the Walgett coach, and a cable message on June 8. stated that an argument occurred between a .Chinaman and Davidson, the? fqrmpr. accusing the driver of cheating him. Dayidson retired at the Weetalibafc Hotel, and early in the morning a man burst into his room, and stabbed him to death, Th 6 wounds were apparently inflicted .with a large pocket-knife.] '
