WEDDING.
A very pretty wedding was solemnised at the residence of Mr A. .1. Grigg, '' Singletree,'' Alford Forest, on Thursday, June 4, between Mr Andrew Macfgrlane, second son of Mrs Hart, "Gleuani," Alford Forest, to Agnes Edith, oldest daughter of Mr A. .J. Grigg. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. T. Bryant, of Springburn. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very pretty in a beautiful dress of cieam satin charmeuse Avith train and draped skirt. She wore a handsomely embroidered veil and wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful shower bouquet. There were two bridesmaids, Miss Rita Grigg (sister of the bride) and Miss Agnes Macfarlane (cousin of the bridegroom). Both wore frocks of cream crepe <le chine with mob cap of satin finished with a wreath of pale pink daisies. They carried bouquets of pale pink chrysanthemums. The bride's mother wore a dress of biack silk grenadine Avith black hat and heliotrope trimmings. The bridegroom's mother wore black satin dress, black velvet hat. black and white ostrich plumes. The bride's travelling costume was navv serge with Oriental trimmings, navv velvet hat with white wings, and set of fox furs. Mr Walter Hammond, of Ashburton, acted as best man, with Mr Argyle Campbell as groomsman. Mr and Mrs Hart left shortly after the wedding breakfast by motor car to catch the train from Methveu for their honeymoon tour. The bridegroom's present to the bride was o, handsome gold wristlet watch, and to the bridesmaids, pretty gold bangles. Miss Ellen Cullen acted as organist. There was a large and representative gathering of friends of the bride and bridegroom present.
