The Education Board of the District of North Canterbury hereby publicly notifies that the HduseKolders 'of the'School-Districts of Bushside, Domett, EifFelton, Elgin, Hurunui, Irwell,,. Kaiapoi Island,, Kirikiri, Lakeside; Longbeach, Robinson's Bay, Spotswood, and Westerfie.ld having failed to elect Committees at the Annual Meetings held on May; 4, and the Election of ; a Committee for the School District of Elinwood having been declared invalid, the Board directs-that MEETINGS of HOUSEHOLDERS in each of thVsaid Districts bei held on MONDAY, June 15, 1914, at half-past 7 o'clock in!the evening,' for the ELECTION of COMMITTEES for such Districts for the year ending with the Fourth Monday in April, 1915. , The Place of Meeting shall be the Schoolroom in each District. The -number of Members to be Elected will be:—For Bushside, EiffeHon, Elgin, Hurunui, Kaiapoi Island, Kirikiri, and Robinson's Bay, FIVE; for Domett, Irwell, Lakeside, Longbeach, Spotswood, and Westerfield, SEVEN; f or : Elmwood, NINE.. The Board further directs that the 'First Meeting of eaiih School Committee shall be held' in the place appointed for the Electioij, and immediately after the Election upon the same evening. The Board further calls upon the Householders of each of the- Districts to" send to the Chairman' of the: -'School Committee, iii ••writing-,; on- or before MONDAY,' June 8; the Names.•'■#£. the Persons, being resident householders, Nominate*! by them for the election to serve upon the Committee.;" Such Nominations miist be signed by the Proposer and by the Candidate, and must .be in the form set forth in the' schedule to the Act; or to the thereof, "addition, to such Nomination s,. any - Householder present at th e Meeting may Nominate ; Any qualified ■■■ Candidate who is present/ afethe -Meeting and who consents by worxi of-mouth or by writing to be so nominated. ■ ...
